Arbitration
The local rules of civil procedure provide that any civil matter where the amount in controversy does not exceed $50,000 and which do not include title to real property, will proceed through compulsory arbitration. Counsel and all parties are expected to be familiar with both the state and local rules of civil procedure that govern arbitration cases.

The court reporters, under the oversight of the Court Administrator, are tasked with recording proceedings before judges, senior judges, and masters. The court reporters are also responsible for the production of transcripts, upon request of the Court or a party.

Tax Assessment Appeals
Petitions for Appeal from the decision of the Board of Assessment Appeals to the Court of Common Pleas of Washington County shall only be filed after the taxpayer receives the Notice of Formal Assessment from the Washington County Board of Assessment Appeals.
